The Sea Eagle SE370 Pro is the inflatable kayak we most often recommend to apartment dwellers, RV travelers, and anyone who thinks they don't have room for a kayak. It packs to the size of a large duffel bag, weighs 26 pounds, and inflates to a 12'6" tandem that can carry 650 pounds.

Not a pool toy

The 370 uses 38-mil PolyKrylar hull material — thicker than most inflatables at this price — and holds air remarkably well. Sea Eagle rates it for Class III whitewater (we would not push it that hard, but the fact they'll rate it that says something about the build).

What comes in the Pro Package

  • Kayak with three inflation chambers (safer than single-chamber pool floats)
  • Two paddles and two seats
  • High-flow foot pump
  • Repair kit
  • Duffel-style carry bag
  • 5-year hull warranty

On the water

Inflatable kayaks trade rigidity for portability. The 370 tracks reasonably well in flat water, but it's slower than a hardshell of the same length and drifts more in wind. Two paddlers keep it moving well; solo it's manageable but sluggish.

Real trade-offs

  • Setup takes 8-10 minutes with the pump
  • Not as stiff or fast as a hardshell
  • The included seats are basic — upgrade for long trips
  • Air-cushioned floor is comfortable but reduces primary stability slightly

Bottom line

If your apartment does not fit a hardshell, the Sea Eagle 370 is the reason you can still own a kayak.

Pros

  • +Packs to duffel-bag size — fits in a closet
  • +1,500+ verified reviews with 4.3-star average
  • +Three separate air chambers for safety
  • +Genuine 650 lb capacity for two adults + gear
  • +5-year hull warranty

Cons

  • Setup and takedown adds ~15 min to every paddle
  • Slower and less stiff than hardshell equivalents
  • Included seats are basic — many owners upgrade

Best for

Apartment dwellers, RV travelers, and anyone who can't store a hardshell.

Who should skip it

Serious anglers, whitewater paddlers, or anyone who paddles multiple times a week.
